Millennium Hotels and Resorts MEA Honored for Commitment to Mangrove Conservation
In celebration of the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem, Millennium Hotels and Resorts MEA was recognized by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MoCCaE UAE) for our commitment to protecting and restoring mangroves. This recognition highlights our dedication to tree-planting initiatives aimed at preserving biodiversity and addressing climate change.
Our efforts as a hotel group are part of a broader movement to support sustainable ecosystems and reduce our carbon footprint. Mangrove planting and restoration play a crucial role in combating climate change by sequestering carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, supporting biodiversity, and creating a healthier environment for future generations.
We’re grateful to MoCCaE UAE for this recognition and extend thanks to our team members and partners, including One Billion Tree-Planting Initiative (OBTI), Fahad Masood, and Karen Storey, for their invaluable support. Together, we’re making strides toward a positive impact on our planet. Let’s continue to drive change for a sustainable future!
